NELLORE: The APSRTC, Nellore region, will run special buses for the convenience of passengers during Sankranti festival.
The corporation will operate nearly 150 additional services from Hyderabad, Bangalore, Vijayawada, Chennai and other destinations to Nellore from January 9 to 14, for transporting the public to reach their native places for celebrating Pongal, said Nellore Regional Manager P. Komaraiah.
Similarly, special services would be operated to Bangalore, Hyderabad and other cities on January 16 and 17. The RTC management deputed the officials to various bus stations to provide information to the passengers and guide them. The special buses will start from CBS Old Bus Stand (hanger) in Hyderabad and advanced reservation facility is available in Nellore and other cities to where the buses are being operated, said Komaraiah.
